Accolades and praises have been pouring in for the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Sunday Akin Dare, on the conferment of the Sarkin Wasanni Chieftaincy title, by the highly revered Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar, CON. 

An elated President of Nigeria Basketball Federation, Engr. Ahmadu Musa Kida, has joined the growing list of distinguished Nigerians applauding Chief Sunday Dare on his latest honour.

In his congratulatory message, Kida, who was recently elected into the board of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, as the Treasurer, described the honour, as a well-deserved recognition for a true Nigerian patriot, who has elevated Sports administration to a new high.

” On behalf of myself and the entire Nigerian basketball community, I want to say a big congratulations to the Hon. Minister of Youth and Sports, Chief Sunday Dare, for this honour and recognition.

“We believe this honour would further spur the Honorable Minister into contributing more to Nigerian sports, the development of the Nigeria youth in general and peaceful coexistence,” the highly regarded sports administrator stated.

The turban ceremony is billed to hold at the expansive palace of the revered traditional ruler, on Thursday, 22nd December 2022.
