MTN Nigeria Communications  and Airtel Nigeria collectively generated  N3.67 trillion from data and voice services in the first half of 2024, according to an analysis of their financial results. These was driven by significant uptick in data services

MTN Nigeria reported a revenue of N1.27 trillion in the first six months of 2024. The revenue includes N726.6bn from data services, reflecting a 55% increase from N469.7bn in the same period in 2023. Airtel, also recorded $229bn in revenue for the quarter ended in June 30, 2024, with $112m from voice services and $117m from data services.
